Crisis Management

No one is immune to crisis. Even the most respected and well-established individuals and organisations can find themselves thrust into the midst of an investigation or enforcement proceedings, particularly in a world where regulatory and enforcement agency powers have increased significantly. As such, when a crisis strikes, it is essential to have experienced and specialist advice and knowledge on your side, who can and will respond swiftly and proactively, guide you through the challenges and ultimately do all that’s possible to protect your reputation.

At Jeremy Gordon, we have a team of experienced crisis management lawyers who are dedicated to helping our clients navigate challenging situations and emerge stronger. We understand the unique challenges faced by high-net-worth individuals, business, organisations, and public figures, and we tailor our approach to meet the specific needs of each client.

What is crisis management?

Crisis management is the process of identifying, planning for, and responding to actual or potential crises that could damage an individual or organisation’s reputation. Sadly, common crises that we handle can be anything from a negative media story, blackmail, a criminal allegation/investigation, a breach of regulations and enforcement proceedings.

Why is crisis management important?

A criminal, regulatory or investigative crisis can have a devastating impact on an individual or organisation’s reputation, future and financial viability. It can lead to loss of business, damage to relationships, and criminal or civil liability. It is vital that an assessment of the issues and a strategy is drawn up as quickly as possible. It is often bewildering when placed in a crisis like this as an investigator or regulatory body seeks to apportion liability and blame. Documents may be requested, a formal interview wanted and it is crucial to take expert advice before reputational harm is done and worst still, a public or media storm quickly follows.

Our team of experts

Partner
Kim Edwards

“Kim’s always gone the extra distance in times of need and always been ever so easy to talk especially in times of stress. Kim’s very thorough and diligent in her work who’s judgement and opinion I’ll always trust. Kim’s always been readily available and if not - very prompt in getting back to me. I’ve recommended Kim to friends over the years and they’ve always thanked me in doing so as she’s provided them with the same level of care and attention. It’s been very reassuring having Kim in my corner.”

Partner
Mark Smith

“I would like to say the service from Anthony was excellent. Whilst I see people, including my co-defendants getting frustrated with their legal team (ie. not being able to contact them and not getting questions answered), I have had a great service and was always satisfied from start to finish.”

Managing Partner
Jeremy Gordon

“The professionalism throughout was exemplary, I felt I was always able to make contact and receive feedback from the start to the end of the process. Ben was a much needed calming influence throughout.”
