Jeremy Gordon Secures Acquittal in Pension Fraud

Jeremy Gordon was instructed to act for the First Defendant who had been charged with Conspiracy to Defraud, along with 8 other defendants, following a 5-year investigation.  It was alleged that our client was at the heart of a large-scale pension fraud exceeding £5m, including the alleged liberation of pension funds under the guise of legitimate loan payments.

After a 9-month trial at Newcastle Crown Court and 20 days of jury deliberation, our client was acquitted.

Partner, Mark Smith, had conduct of the case, along with instructed counsel Paul Bogan KC of 23 Essex Street Chambers and Andrew Jebb of Exchange Chambers.
